On a wet, windy day at the end of June we finally upped sticks and moved from Yorkshire to Cumbria.
It was, quite possibly, the longest day of my life and I would like to thank Barclays Bank for receiving funds at 10am but not releasing them into the chain until late afternoon.
We left some of our hens for the new owners of our old house; they have two boys who were keen to keep chickens.
All we have now is a Light Sussex cockerel, a Welsummer hen and two of the Warren Girls and they have all settled in nicely.
We have all settled in nicely and now I hope to have the time to resurrect the blog.
We have many plans, some have already been achieved, some are bubbling under nicely and some will no doubt end up being drastically altered.
We have missed growing our own veg this year, and we have missed not having any pigs but we would not have missed moving here.
I am surprised to see that we have had many visitors on the blog during our absence, if you are one of them, thank you.
If any of our previous readers are still out there, we hope that you are well. We have not been reading any blogs but we hope to catch up soon.
